Mobbing

Meine Gedanken über….

….Kenneth James Weishuhn

15. April via Handy Too all of you assholes who hated my brother, I hope your happy now. He killed himself… Fuck u all!!!

It Gets Better: Kayla in Primghar My brother’s story

Dalton Lee Walker (12) died by suicide March 26, 2012.

Dalton Lee Walker, 12, a student at Princeton Middle School, died Monday evening outside his home of a “self-inflicted injury,” Chief P.V. Powell of the Princeton Police Department said at that time.

Lt. P.W. Hill, who is conducting an investigation, said the boy’s mother had told him that her son had been bullied “for some time and that she had spoken to school officials several times” about the problem.

Beaten to Death Because of Sexuality

After 25 days of constant fighting for his life, the young Daniel Zamudio died from the injuries from the beating a neo-Nazi group gave him in Santiago, Chile.
Prosecutors in Chile asked for murder charges Wednesday in the death of a young gay man whose attackers brutally beat him and carved swastikas into his body.
Zamudio was violently beaten by a group of neo-Nazis on March 3. The 4 attackers, whose ages range from age 19 to 26, are now in custody and facing trial for murder.
Alejandro Tapia Axel Angulo (26), Raul Alfonso Lopez Fuentes (25), Patricio Ahumada Ivan Garay (25), and Fabian Alexis Mora Mora (19). Jaime Silva, lawyer for Daniel’s family, is intent on pursuing a life sentence for the attackers.

Eric James Borges (19) died by suicide Wednesday, January 11, 2012.

“He was a volunteer teaching suicide prevention, so he knew what counseling was available to him,” Laura McGuinnis, a spokeswoman for the Trevor Project, told the Post. “Unfortunately suicide is so complicated, so rooted in mental illness, that it is difficult to know why he made that decision. It is very, very sad.”
According to the Trevor Project, LGBT youths whose parents reject them for their sexuality are eight times more at risk for suicide than teens whose parents accept them.
In his video for “It Gets Better,” a project in which adults tell kids someday their lives will be brighter, Borges talked about the homophobia he experienced. He said his “extremist Christian” family called him “disgusting,” and kicked him out of the house in October. He recounted an instance in which he said his mother performed an exorcism to try to make him straight.
He also said that he dropped out of high school because of physical and public assaults by his peers. But Borges said it had gotten better for him. “You will love, be loved, and I love you…You are not alone,” he said.

Jamey Rodemeyer (14) died by suicide September 18, 2011.

Erhängte sich in seinem Elternhaus

Erhängte sich in seinem Elternhaus

Bullied for his sexual orientation. Inspired Lady Gaga to play tribute to him at concerts, start her „Born This Way“ foundation and urge The President to make bullying a „Hate Crime.“ Opened world’s eyes on YouTube. Sister found him hanged at home. Days later, bullies at a dance chanted „We’re glad you’re dead, We’re glad you’re dead!“

Jacob Rogers (18) died by suicide December 7, 2011.

Bullied for being openly Gay.

“A fun loving jokester who made friends laugh hysterically.” Jacob was a creative illustrator, singer and dancer who courageously came out to his family at 14 years old. He’d been bullied daily at his Cheatham County high school for four years. Bullies called him, “Fag,” “Queer” and pushed him around, especially when he dressed up as Lady Gaga, sang “Born This Way” and light heartedly exchanged clothes with girlfriends. His friends say he repeatedly told school officials about the abuse, but „his school did nothing to stop it.” The bullying was so severe Jacob dropped out of his senior year. He then became increasingly depressed. He had overcome an eating disorder but struggled harder with drugs. When it all became too painful, he killed himself with a gun. After his death, 1700 people signed a petition to toughen Tennessee’s anti bullying policies. Recently, conservatives have blamed Jacob for his own death and cite his suicide case as evidence a law should pass that allows “freedom of opinion to be expressed on the basis of religious beliefs.”
Jamie Hubley (15) died by suicide October 15, 2011.

Gay 15-year-old Ottawa, Canada teen Jamie Hubley killed himself October 14. Bullying was apparently to blame. He was a gifted actor and singer — he loved Lady Gaga, Adele and Katy Perry, and posted numerous videos of himself singing on his personal YouTube channel.

Asher Brown (13) died by suicide September 23, 2010.

Erschoss sich mit der 9mm-Beretta seine Vaters

Erschoss sich mit der 9mm-Beretta seine Vaters

Bullied for his sexual orientation. „Lively and fun but rarely during school because he was ridiculed so much for being gay, small and a Buddhist.“ Boys in P.E. class simulated gay sex acts to upset him. The day before he died, classmates kicked him down the stairs. Parents say they complained for 1 ¬Ω years but school officials deny it. Asher shot himself in the head with his dad’s 9 mm Beretta.

Zach Harrington (19) died by suicide 10/5/10

Bullied for his sexual orientation. „caring and talented writer, artist and musician“ who’d asked to leave high school 6 months early „for fear of my safety.“ Hoped the adult world wouldn’t be so homophobic. At college during a city council meeting on „Gay History Month,“ opponents hurled homophobic slurs and threats, which were „toxic“ to Zach. A week later, he killed himself in his family’s home.

Matthew Shepard (21) died by torture and murder October 12, 1998.

The story of Matthew Shepard began on December 1, 1976 when he was born to Judy and Dennis Shepard in Casper, Wyoming. He went to public school in Casper until his junior year of high school when he moved with his family to Saudi Arabia. Matt had to finish his high school education at The American School in Switzerland because there were no American high schools in Saudi Arabia at the time. In both high schools, he was elected by his peers to be a peer counselor. He was easy to talk to, made friends easily and actively fought for the acceptance of all people. Matt had a great passion for equality. His experiences abroad fueled his love for travel and gave him the chance to make many new friends from around the world. Matt’s college career eventually took him back to Wyoming where he studied political science, foreign relations and languages at the University of Wyoming in Laramie.

The horrific events that took place shortly after midnight on October 7, 1998 went against everything that Matt embodied. Two men, Aaron McKinney and Russell Henderson, led him to a remote area east of Laramie, Wyoming. He was tied to a split-rail fence where the two men severely assaulted him. He was beaten and left to die in the cold of the night. Almost 18 hours later, he was found by a bicyclist who initially mistook him for a scarecrow. Matt died on October 12 at 12:53 a.m. at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado with his family by his side. His memorial service was attended by friends and family from around the world and garnered immense media attention that brought Matt’s story to the forefront of the fight against bigotry and hate. The life and death of Matthew Shepard changed the way we talk about, and deal with, hate in America. Since his death, Matt’s legacy has challenged and inspired millions of individuals to erase hate in all its forms. Although Matt’s life was short, his story continues to have a great impact on young and old alike. His legacy lives on in thousands of people like you who actively fight to replace hate with understanding, compassion and acceptance.

Seth Walsh (13) died by suicide September 28, 2010.

Bullied for his sexual orientation. „The best big brother in the whole world‚Äîno, Galaxy!“ says Seth’s little brother. Even before „coming out,“ Seth was so bullied he didn’t feel safe walking home and „longed to be straight.“ Hanged himself in his backyard then was on life support for a week. Seth inspired new anti bullying laws known as „Seth’s Laws.“

Jorge Steven Lopez Mercado (19) died by murder November 14, 2009

ermordet

„On November 14 the body of a gay 19 year old was found a few miles away from the town in which he was residing in called Caguas. He was a very well known person in the gay community of Puerto Rico, and very loved. He was found on the site of an isolated road in the city of Cayey, he was partially burned, decapitated, and dismembered, both arms, both legs, and the torso. This has caused a huge reaction from the gay community here, but its a difficult situation. Never in the history of Puerto Rico has a murder been classified as a hate crime. Even though we have to follow federal mandates and laws, many of the laws in which are passed in the USA such as Obama’s new bill, do not always directly get practiced in Puerto Rico. The police agent that is handling this case said on a public televised statement that ‚people who lead this type of lifestyle need to be aware that this will happen‘. As If the boy murdered Jorge Steven Lopez was asking to get killed…“

Bobby Griffith (20) died by suicide August 27, 1983.

Bobby Griffith grew up as the innocent, happy and intelligent all-American boy with an obedient and gentle spirit. But as he grew into adolescence he discovered that he was attracted to other teenage boys his age or older and not girls. And because Bobby was raised as a devout Christian and was taught that being gay was one of the worst sins imaginable, he believed that he was defective, that he was going to burn in Hell for eternity and that he was unworthy of God’s love. He was very aware of his church’s teachings because he was very active in the Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church in Walnut Creek, California along with his brother, 2 sisters and mother, Mary, who taught Sunday school. Unable to handle the irresolvable daily struggles and conflict with both his family and his religion, Bobby jumped off a bridge onto a busy highway in front of a large tractor trailer in Portland, Oregon on August 27, 1983 and was killed instantly due to massive internal injuries. His detailed personal diaries are filled with diatribes of self-hate because he believed that as a homosexual he was a worthless human being and innately evil because he was a tool of the Devil. He believed these things because that was what his church taught. He thought that he had no reason to live because he wasn’t allowed to love who he was attracted to and was damned no matter what he did.

He was a teenager who didn’t quite fit in. His classmates said Billy Lucas was bullied for being different.
The 15-year-old never told anyone he was gay but students at Greensburg High School thought he was and so they picked on him.
„People would call him ‚fag‘ and stuff like that, just make fun of him because he’s different basically,“ said student Dillen Swango.
Students told Fox59 News it was common knowledge that children bullied Billy and from what they said, it was getting worse. Last Thursday, Billy’s mother found him dead inside their barn. He had hung himself.

Christian Taylor (16) died by suicide May 31, 2010.

Christian erhängte sich zu Hause

Bullied for being an “outsider.”

New to school, Christian was heckled and bullied. Classmates called him “Weird,” “Gay,” and told him “Get it over with and commit suicide.” Police and school officials rejected his mother’s demands for intervention explaining, “We have no anti bullying laws.” Christian hanged himself at home. Parents filed a $10 Million lawsuit against school administrators and a sheriff’s deputy.

Carl Walker (11) died by suicide April 6, 2009.

Bullied for rumored sexual orientation. „A wonderful boy who helped the needy and loved school work.“ Bullies taunted him daily, calling him, „Girlie,“ „Gay“ and „Fag“ even though, his mother says, he was none of those. School reportedly ignored his mother’s weekly pleas for help. Carl’s mom found him hanging by an extension cord on the second floor of their home.

Jaheem Herrera (11) died by suicide April 16, 2009.

Jaheem erhängte sich mit einem Gürtel

Jaheem erhängte sich mit einem Gürtel

Bullied for rumored sexual orientation. „Smart and kind to all.“ Since moving to Georgia from The Virgin Islands, told his mom bullies constantly called him „The Virgin, „Ugly“, „Snitch“ „Gay, Gay, GAY.“ Returned from school one day with a great report card then went to his room. At dinner time, his 10 year old sister went after him and screamed „Get him down!, Get Him Down!“ Jaheem had hanged himself with a belt.

Drew Ferraro (15) died by suicide February 10, 2012.

A 15-year-old leapt to his death from the roof of his high school, as horrified classmates looked on.
Drew Ferraro climbed a building on campus and took a running jump off a ledge, right after the fourth period, at the beginning of the school’s busy lunch hour.
Dozens of teens witnessed the student’s deadly fall from a three-story building in the central quad at Crescenta Valley High School, in a suburb of Los Angeles.

Jon Carmichael (13) died by suicide March 28, 2010.

Bullied for his size. „Loving, athletic and a great son.“ Consistently ridiculed for being smaller than other boys. His middle school classmates weekly tossed him, head first, into a trash can. Boys jumped him and flushed his head in a toilet, shoved him into lockers and knocked his books out of his hands. Hanged himself in the family barn. Parents sued school officials claiming they turned a „blind eye“ prompting their son’s suicide.

Justin Aaberg (15) died by suicide July 9, 2010.

Justin erhängte sich in seinem Zimmer

Justin erhängte sich in seinem Zimmer

Bullied for his sexual orientation.

“A warm boy who was an amazing cellist.” Justin came out as “gay” at age 13. Very supportive family. But schoolmates relentlessly harassed him. Friends say “everyone including teachers” knew he was constantly bullied. Justin hanged himself in his bedroom. When his family confronted school officials, the school responded, “ We are neutral on bullying to respect all kinds of opinions.” Justin was 1 of 5 students in his school district to commit suicide within a year. His mother gathered 130,000 signatures demanding strong anti bullying laws.

Chloe Anne Lacey (18) died by suicide 9/24/10

Chloe erschoss sich

Chloe erschoss sich

Bullied for being a transgender woman. As a young boy, “Justin” loved snowboarding and wanted to grow up to be a sniper. But, he also wondered why, when school teachers separated kids by gender, they put him with the boys. In his early teen years, he saw a show on transgender people and thought, ”That’s me.” But, as “Chloe,” she was harassed and felt excruciatingly alone. Chloe shot and killed herself. Her story inspired civil rights rallies and a “Be The Change, Out is In” campaign.

Felix Sacco (17) died by suicide 9/30/10

Bullied for his sexual orientation. „quiet sweetheart who was kind to everyone.“ Friends remember bullies harassing him in school hallways. Mocked and berated him. Felix sought psychiatric support. His mom says her outreach for school help was rejected. Friends saw Felix upset at school. That day, he jumped over the wall of a street overpass to his death.

JP Blanchard (17) died by suicide 5/5/09

Bullied after death about his sexual orientation.

“He was smart, funny and had a special gift for listening to others.” JP’s parents and friends say they didn’t know JP was depressed. Tragically, the high- school junior stepped in front of a speeding Caltrain to end his life. Over the next eight months, five teens from the same school district would commit suicide the same way and a sixth would try but was saved. Through these painful months, Palo Alto formed a new mental health task force and Caltrain said it would put a million dollars worth of fencing to prevent further tragedies. In a thoughtful YouTube video (www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3NYCdsTJxU), JP’s sister, Chloe, expresses regret over schoolmates starting false rumors about JP having been “gay or bullied.” She thinks its because people are “afraid of suicide and/or don’t understand it.” Chloe urges people not to shun someone, but to “be there” openly and honestly for a friend in need.

James Robinson (15) died by suicide 9/28/11

Bullied about his sexual orientation. “Clever, creative and the peacemaker in the family.” James played in his school band and was very active in sports including track and field. Friends say, in school and online, James was taunted and criticized, leaving him feeling unworthy and alone. His death inspired Nevada’s Governor to declare a “Week Of Respect” to draw attention and solutions to bullying.

Jemarcus Bell (14) died by suicide 10/20/10

Bullied for his sexual orientation. „He was kind to everyone. „Being gay and dancing on his school’s Step team made him a lightening rod for harassment. Friends say this was his 2nd suicide attempt. The final straw followed boys in his welding class throwing metal at Jemarcus‘ head. He hanged himself. At his memorial, some students stomped candles and kicked over photos set up to honor him.

Alec Henriksen (18) died by suicide 9/30/10

Bullied about his sexual orientation.

“He was a brilliant computer programmer.” Utah’s Mormon Church condemns homosexuality. Suicide is the #1 cause of teen deaths in Utah. The state also leads the nation in suicides among youth ages 15-24. Few details of Alec’s death released. His body was found on the grounds of his college cemetery.

Aiden Schaeff (17) died by suicide 4/22/10

Aiden erhängte sich zu Hause

Aiden erhängte sich zu Hause

Bullied for his sexual orientation. „Lil‘ Dude, Big Heart who was a Trailblazer from birth.“ Born „Caitlyn,“ to two mothers, Aiden had the courage to openly transition into a boy as a Freshman in high school. Many classmates rejected and mocked him. Tired of the intolerance and bullying, Aiden electronically bid „Goodbye“ to his friends one night. He then hanged himself in his home.

Brandon Bitner (14) died by suicide November 5, 2010.

Bullied „on a daily basis“ for his sexual orientation. Decided he could help more in death than in life. Walked 6-miles to a highway. Threw himself in front of a speeding Semi-Truck. Left note urging loved ones to „March on… teaching the physical and mental abuse bullying causes.“ Monsters will „March On“ for him in San Francisco.

Kameron Jacobsen (14) died by suicide January 18, 2011.

I don’t want to live this way anymore.“ His mother found him hanged in his bedroom.

Caleb Nolt (14) died by suicide September 20, 2010.

Caleb Nolt was a 14-year-old freshman at North Side High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana, who passed on September 20, 2010. Caleb enjoyed spending time with his girlfriend and attending church with her. He and his twin brother, according to the obituary, would talk late into the night. But Caleb was bullied at school for his manner of dress.
The Facebook tribute page to Caleb speaks volumes as some realize how they shunned him, and others offer testimony as to how much they enjoyed being with him.

Rafael Morelos (14) died by suicide January 29, 2012.

Family members and friends are distraught over the death of a Washington teen who reportedly killed himself because he was bullied by his classmates for being gay.
As The Wentachee World is reporting, 14-year-old Rafael Morelos hanged himself Jan. 29 after friends say he was subjected to bullying at Cashmere Middle School, where he had enrolled last fall.
„He told me he got shoved and punched in the face in P.E. in the locker room at Cashmere,“ one friend said. Added another: „He was tired of people saying that his little brothers would follow in his footsteps and be gay, too.“
In addition, friends say one bully even created a fake Facebook page so that he or she could taunt Rafael, who was openly gay, online.
Morelos‘ mother, Malinda, told local Fox affilate Q13 she wasn’t aware of what her son was going through. „He did not tell me he was being bullied. He had a dark side inside him that he never told me his feelings anymore,“ she said. „I thought it was just him being a teenager, and I just didn’t know why.“

Corey Jackson (19) died by suicide 10/19/10

Bullied for his sexual orientation. „The most loving, giving funny person who never said a bad word about anybody.“ At college, Corey realized his sexual preference had changed. His peers began harassing him. He withdrew. Campus police claim „bullying was not a problem.“ But, friends say, Corey „couldn’t handle the constant tormenting.“ He hanged himself.

Nick Kelo (13) died by suicide 2/23/11

Erschoss sich mit dem Gewehr seines Vaters

Erschoss sich mit dem Gewehr seines Vaters

Bullied for his sexual orientation. Kind, quiet, an IQ at the „genius“ level, a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and a football player. But the slurs „Gay“ and „Fag“ only worsened when he switched to Band. A classmate reveled in forcibly spitting or „glicking“ on him. Nick opened the family safe and used his dad’s gun to end his life.

Lawrence King (15) died by murder from a class mate because he asked him if he would be his Valentine February 12, 2008.

Ermordet

Ermordet

At 15, Lawrence King was small—5 feet 1 inch—but very hard to miss. In January, he started to show up for class at Oxnard, Calif.’s E. O. Green Junior High School decked out in women’s accessories. On some days, he would slick up his curly hair in a Prince-like bouffant. Sometimes he’d paint his fingernails hot pink and dab glitter or white foundation on his cheeks. „He wore makeup better than I did,“ says Marissa Moreno, 13, one of his classmates. He bought a pair of stilettos at Target, and he couldn’t have been prouder if he had on a varsity football jersey. He thought nothing of chasing the boys around the school in them, teetering as he ran.
But on the morning of Feb. 12, Larry left his glitter and his heels at home. He came to school dressed like any other boy: tennis shoes, baggy pants, a loose sweater over a collared shirt. He seemed unhappy about something. He hadn’t slept much the night before, and he told one school employee that he threw up his breakfast that morning, which he sometimes did because he obsessed over his weight. But this was different. One student noticed that as Larry walked across the quad, he kept looking back nervously over his shoulder before he slipped into his first-period English class. The teacher, Dawn Boldrin, told the students to collect their belongings, and then marched them to a nearby computer lab, so they could type out their papers on World War II. Larry found a seat in the middle of the room. Behind him, Brandon McInerney pulled up a chair.
Brandon, 14, wasn’t working on his paper, because he told Mrs. Boldrin he’d finished it. Instead, he opened a history book and started to read. Or at least he pretended to. „He kept looking over at Larry,“ says a student who was in the class that morning. „He’d look at the book and look at Larry, and look at the book and look at Larry.“ At 8:30 a.m., a half hour into class, Brandon quietly stood up. Then, without anyone’s noticing, he removed a handgun that he had somehow sneaked to school, aimed it at Larry’s head, and fired a single shot. Boldrin, who was across the room looking at another student’s work, spun around. „Brandon, what the hell are you doing!“ she screamed. Brandon fired at Larry a second time, tossed the gun on the ground and calmly walked through the classroom door. Police arrested him within seven minutes, a few blocks from school. Larry was rushed to the hospital, where he died two days later of brain injuries. Meanwhile murderer sentenced to 21 years in prison.
